A Smart Steam Wardrobe
I never thought a wardrobe could change how I take care of my clothes. Then I got the LG Styler S3MFC — and now I cannot imagine my home without it.
If you have never heard of a steam wardrobe before, you are not alone. It is still a relatively new category of home appliance, but it is growing fast — and once you understand what it does, it is hard to go back to life without one.
This is my honest experience after owning and using the LG Styler S3MFC at home.

What I Look for Before Buying a Product
- Quality: Is it durable and built to last?
- Value: Is it practical and does it actually improve everyday life?
- Maintenance: How easy is it to take care of? (I prefer with a auto-cleaning/self-cleaning function.)
- Design: Good aesthetics genuinely upgrade daily life.
- Customer support: How easy and fast is it to reach out the brand, and what is their return policy?
What Is the LG Styler?
The LG Styler is a smart steam wardrobe — a freestanding cabinet that uses steam, gentle heat, and a moving hanger to care for your clothes without a traditional wash cycle. Think of it as a home alternative to the dry cleaner, but faster, gentler, and available any time you need it.
It is not a washing machine. It does not replace one. What it does is take care of all those clothes in between washes — the blazer you wore once, the wool jumper that cannot go in the dryer, the delicate dress you are afraid to ruin. That is where the LG Styler steps in.
Why I Bought It
I have always thought carefully about how to keep my clothes in good condition and make my favourite pieces last longer — without relying on the washing machine every time or paying for expensive dry cleaning. Some clothes simply do not need a full wash. A gentle refresh is enough.
But it goes beyond just clothes. I wanted a safe and easy way to keep my kids’ stuffed animals clean and sanitised. On humid, rainy, and snowy days, we also need to dry clothes more often than you might expect. Jeans should not be washed too frequently, it damages the fabric and fades the colour. Wool and silk are notoriously difficult to clean at home. And bulky items like pillows and blankets? Getting those properly clean has always been a challenge.
The LG Styler takes care of all of these needs, in one appliance, at home, without any chemicals.
I genuinely believe the LG Styler is a must-have for the modern lifestyle. It understands exactly what we need when it comes to caring for the things we wear and use every day.
What I Use It For Every Single Day
Here is what I actually use my LG Styler for, in order of how often:
Refreshing clothes without washing This is the feature I use most. After wearing a blouse or a light jacket, I hang it in the Styler for refresh cycle. It comes out smelling clean, with reduced wrinkles, ready to wear again.
Removing wrinkles and creases The moving hanger gently shakes the garment while steam surrounds it. It does reduce wrinkles noticeably but it is not the same as ironing. If you want a crisp, fully pressed finish, you will still need your iron. What the Styler does is take care of everyday wrinkles and keep clothes looking neat and wearable, which is enough for most occasions.
Sanitising and removing allergens This matters to me a lot. The TrueSteam technology removes up to 99.9% of bacteria, viruses, dust mites, and allergens from fabrics, using nothing but pure water. No chemicals at all. I use the sanitary cycle regularly for bedding, children’s soft toys, and seasonal clothes that have been in storage.
Gentle drying of delicate fabrics The heat-pump drying system operates at low temperature, which means even the most fragile fabrics, lingerie, cashmere, silk, dry safely without any risk of shrinking or damage. This alone has saved several of my favourite pieces.
Reducing dry cleaning costs Blazers, Suits, structured coats, wool pieces, these used to go to the dry cleaner regularly. Now I rarely need to. The Styler handles them beautifully at home. The cost savings over a year are significant.
Key Features Worth Knowing
TrueSteam™ Technology Steam made from 100% pure water, no chemical additives. Deep-penetrating and gentle on all fabric types.
Moving Hanger™ LG’s patented hanger moves the garment 200 times per minute, helping steam reach every part of the fabric and shake out dust and wrinkles at the same time.
33 Care Programmes From a quick 20-minute refresh to a full 2-hour sanitary cycle, there is a programme for almost every fabric type and care need. You can also download additional tailor-made cycles via the LG ThinQ app for special fabrics like fur, leather, and padded winter coats.
LG ThinQ™ Wi-Fi Control Start a cycle remotely, monitor progress, and download new programmes — all from your phone. Practical when you want the clothes ready by the time you get home.
Mirror Finish Design The S3MFC has a stunning mirror-black exterior. It looks beautiful in a bedroom, dressing room, or hallway — not like a standard appliance at all. You can also use it as a full-length mirror while getting dressed.
Pants Press The inside of the door has a built-in pants press that reducing wrinkles. A small detail that makes a noticeable difference.

Which LG Styler Model Is Right for You?
S3MFC (Mirror Black) — The model I own. Premium mirror finish, 3-garment capacity, full feature set including TrueSteam, Moving Hanger, and Wi-Fi. Best for: those who want the full experience and love the design.
S3WF / S3WFS (White) — Same core technology as the S3MFC but with a white finish. A good option if your home has a lighter interior and you prefer a cleaner look.
Larger models (S5 series) — If you have a bigger household or want to care for more garments at once, LG also offers larger Styler models with higher capacity. Worth considering for families.
Final thoughts
The LG Styler S3MFC is one of those rare products that genuinely changes a daily habit. I use mine for everything, refreshing, sanitising, drying, de-wrinkling and it handles all of it quietly and beautifully.
If you care about your clothes, want to reduce dry cleaning costs, or simply want a healthier and more efficient way to maintain your wardrobe, I think you will love it.
It is an investment, but one that pays for itself over time in dry cleaning bills alone, not to mention the clothes it saves from damage.
